So, we are now in day 5 of the trip & where are we? Well, we have passed through the Loire , visiting the chateaux of azay Le rideau, a*, Villandry, A**** gardens chinon A- let down by rediculous plastic dragons emerging from every turret & daft UT interpretations.
We are now parked up lovely wooded site at brantome, the Venice if the perigird, along side the river dronne. The weather is flip in' hot though, which is good
We have driven through some wonderful countryside, rolling hills, wooded valleys, broad leaf woodland. Past fields if maize & sunflowers waiting to be harvested. Vast fields go yellow & red apples, signs pointing to foie gras, all much too much
We have kept an eye on the weather as l think there could be some sort of low in the bay of bis at so the plan is to dawdle through the dordogne for a bit.
